Situation and Planning Concept: The school is situated in an isolated location on a country lane between two villages north of the city of Hertogenbosch. This rural setting and the specific teaching requirements were the main starting points for the planning. The teaching concept called for larger classrooms for presentations and smaller group rooms for working through the material, as well as a warm, home-like atmosphere and a differentiated design of the entire complex. Architectural Design and Functional Layout: A central common area containing a language lab, library, small group workrooms, study niches, and a geography room is surrounded by the gymnasium, assembly hall, and crafts room on one side, and the general teaching area on the other.
