Residential Building in Obergolding near Landshut

The house is situated on a hilltop-shaped corner plot south of the Isar Valley, accessed by a deeply cut road and offering panoramic views. It forms the eastern boundary of a newer single-family housing development, echoes the architectural style of the farmhouses to the south and west, and integrates seamlessly into the steep embankment on two sides. The building's layout resulted from the design concept of optimally utilizing the expansive views while incorporating a partially enclosed garden courtyard. An L-shaped building with two 24-metre-long wings, each covered by a 30° pitched shed roof, is flanked at its ends by two triangular extensions with shallower roof slopes. Together with a small pond, these extensions complete the overall structure, forming a square in plan.
