The large roof with its low eaves conforms to the typical Black Forest roof style, offering optimal wind and weather protection while simultaneously allowing ample sunlight to reach the terraces directly adjacent to the house. It is covered with light grey Eternit roof tiles in a double-layered pattern. The thermal insulation is generously dimensioned. Furthermore, the exterior and interior appearance is defined by the load-bearing timber frame and the wooden cladding. Natural light is provided by large expanses of windows, additionally by ribbon windows at roof level, and, for the upper floor, by a central glass pyramid.
