The unusual construction project of building a mountain hut at 3650 metres above sea level, on the edge of the Jungfraufirn (glacier), on a steep rock face, was accomplished using a foundation support system made of I-beams and trapezoidal metal sheets. The hut can be reached on foot from the Jungfraujoch in approximately 45 minutes via the glacier.
