The new cafeteria on the university's "Lichtwiese" expansion campus serves the newly constructed buildings of the architecture, civil engineering, chemistry, and mechanical engineering departments, which have been built there in recent years. Its central location makes it easily accessible for students and passersby alike, serving as a hub for communication between the university and the local community. The cafeteria has a serving capacity of 4,000 meals per meal, with an additional 10,000 meals delivered to the Darmstadt university region. The ground floor houses a cafeteria, while the upper floor contains the serving area with four hot food counters, two cold food counters, a payment desk, and dining areas.
