This pedestrian bridge over the Erft River in the recreational area of Bad Münstereifel connects a parking lot with the Erft hiking trail. Construction: The spruce timber structure, with a span of 18.75 m, consists of the bridge deck with railings and two seating areas projecting from the railings above the bridge abutments. These seating areas are covered by gable roofs running perpendicular to the bridge deck, supported by braces and vertical posts. The main girders, spanning over 18.75 m, are made of glulam (20/42 cm) and rest on reinforced concrete foundation piles with a base plate (piles spaced 10 m apart). The 10 cm thick, 2.18 m wide walkway planks are nailed to these piles.
