Office Building of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians of Westphalia-Lippe in Dortmund
The high-rise building's structure consists of a concrete core and a concrete slab for the ground floor, combined with a steel structure for the floor slabs and external columns. The standard facade of the high-rise (construction by Steinau, Arnsberg) comprises a total of 320 prefabricated elements, each 2400 mm wide and either 3300 or 4800 mm high. The vertical pilaster profiles guide the facade access equipment. The facades of the standard sections, with their integrated double-glazed insulating glass, have a sound insulation value of 36 dB. Should traffic conditions on the adjacent B1 highway deteriorate significantly, a third pane can be easily installed; this would improve the sound insulation value to 45 dB.
