Market Canopy in Orléans

The roof of the Órleans market halls consists of two rows of five mushroom-shaped structural units each, with square roof areas. Identical in design and construction, the units differ in size: one 4 m high, covering a ground area of 256 m², and another 4.75 m high, covering a ground area of 272.25 m². The mushrooms are arranged so that in each row, two larger units extend 75 cm beyond a smaller one. The centre-to-centre spacing of the mushroom shafts is 16 m.
