Production and Social Building in Colchester, Essex/ Great Britain
Location: The new factory is situated in an industrial area near Coichester railway station, northeast of London. The site covers 9,400 m². Building and Space Program: The factory comprises a production facility for chewing gum and peppermint tablets, and another for peppermint candies; a power plant and sugar silos to supply the two production buildings; a large warehouse as a separate building with a high-bay storage system, expandable in the future; and a social building with a restaurant, club room, a small number of offices, and the main entrance. Plans include the future expansion to include two further large production units, utilizing the existing storage and recreational buildings.
