The supporting structure consists of X-shaped, intersecting trusses (lattice girders) attached to four freestanding main columns that extend from the foundations to the roof. These columns support the main crossbeams for the second floor, the girders for the attic space, the intersecting trusses, and the roof rafters, some of which rest on the crossbeams. This primary load-bearing system is supplemented by a post-and-beam wall construction with a post spacing of 1.74 m, or 3.48 m in the area of the two main doors. The beams horizontally brace the posts to one another: on the first floor at the sides facing each other, and on the second floor at the outer sides. The columns rest on concrete blocks via wooden slabs.
