Student Hostel in Regensburg
The student residence in Regensburg-Königswiesen, designed for 508 students, was not intended to be an isolated structure, but rather part of a comprehensive concept comprising the state archives, the student residence, and the architectural connection between the two through an intervening residential building. The financial basis for the construction of the residence was the federal and state cost guidelines (i.e., a flat rate of DM 21,000 was allocated per student room). This necessitated cost-effective construction methods.
