Church of an Evangelical Community Centre in Vienna

The Protestant community centre in the Per-Albin-Hansson housing estate on the southern edge of Vienna serves as the religious hub for approximately 2,500 parishioners from the catchment area of this residential area, which was developed after 1945 at the foot of the Laaerberg hill. Situated on gently sloping terrain, the project was designed to blend harmoniously into an already completed ensemble of public buildings grouped around a central square (Catholic church, secondary school, kindergarten, and municipal housing complexes). The now-completed community hall, a small-scale, open-air structure, is part of a planned complex that will, in subsequent construction phases, also include a rectory, a kindergarten, and a residence for nuns.
