Marburg Post Office
The new post office building was erected on an 11,350 square metre site in the north of the city, adjacent to the new Main-Lahn expressway. The elongated, north-south oriented shape of the plot dictated the building's layout and access: Deliveries to the ground floor's operational areas are made from the service yard adjoining the eastern side of the building. In the wider northern half of the site, a vehicle maintenance and service bay, as well as staff accommodation, are attached to the main building. Customer access is via a forecourt at the southwest corner of the site, leading into the service hall and the adjoining administrative offices.
