Transversely supported on fixed reinforced concrete columns are solid glulam beams (16/100 cm), with a span of 12 m and a cantilever of 6 m on each side. The beams are spaced 10 m apart. The hall's appearance is defined by the secondary structural system of longitudinally arranged purlins, arranged in a cross pattern. The purlins run at a 14° incline between the top of the beams and a bottom chord (16/16 cm) suspended by 16 mm tie rods. At the intersection point, a central section features four angled finger joints to which the purlins are attached. The crossed arrangement of the purlins creates an intermediate support at the intersection point, thus reducing the span.
