Grandstand of a Cycling Stadium in Japan
The grandstand is part of a large complex comprising a 5 km and a 3 km cycling track and has approximately 2,200 spectator seats, with a total grandstand area of 2,728 m². In the entrance area in front of the grandstand, the ticket office, offices, an exhibition hall, a storage room, changing rooms, showers and lounges, a bicycle rental shop, a children's play area, and a restaurant are grouped around a central plaza in separate building sections. From these slightly lower building sections, the forecourt leads in steps to the grandstand at the highest point of the terrain, allowing the large roof, which covers the spectator decks, to be fully appreciated without being obstructed by other buildings.
