Kindergarten and Elementary School in Saint-Germain-sur-Morin
In this large, newly built housing estate primarily inhabited by young families, the challenge was to create a building type that would accommodate population growth and the changing age structure of families. The idea of designing the school as an open complex, where all areas (kindergarten and school as a whole, as well as the individual room groups) flow seamlessly into one another, came from local parents and educators; they were also actively involved in the planning.
