The main administration building was erected on the northern part, and the power plant on the southern part, of the 100,000 m² site. The two sections are connected by a walkable pipeline tunnel. Two high-pressure steam boilers with eight-stage fully automatic gas firing, installed in the steam power plant, deliver a maximum continuous steam output of 10,000 kg/h each. The boiler system operates via cascade operation. The recirculated condensate is returned to the boilers as feedwater via the deaerator. For night, weekend, and summer operation, one of the boilers is operated with low-pressure steam. In the transfer stations near the main administration building, the steam (1640°C, at 6 atmospheres) is compressed in counterflow to produce hot water with temperatures between 90 and 700°C. The water is then distributed to the consumers via distribution systems.
