Neighboring building regulations dictated the significant drop in height within the building complex: A three-storey central section is inserted between two narrow, five-storey wings with recessed top floors, the corner wing marked by a round stairwell tower with a balcony-like effect, and a section terraced towards the centre of the building. The substantial difference in height between the three sections is bridged both functionally and visually by a walkway (for building cleaning) running horizontally above the second floor, supported by cantilevers, and covering the sidewalk. The stairwell tower at the intersection of the corner and central wings creates a spatially rich, sculptural articulation of the facade.
