Buildings in the Botanical Garden of the University of Freiburg
The construction of the new greenhouses and the garden operations building at the Botanical Garden marks the completion of the construction work for the Biological Institutes of the University of Freiburg. The Botanical Garden, covering only 3 hectares and located approximately 1.5 km north of the city centre, serves not only its scientific purpose with its trees, plant collections, and display houses, but also as a local recreation area.
