The surrounding landscape, while scenically attractive, was marred by the prominent buildings of municipal utilities, suggesting a distinctly contrasting and simple architectural style. The spatial concept incorporated several innovative approaches to the process and design of the funeral service compared to traditional crematoriums. In addition to two differently sized ceremonial halls for standard funeral services, three viewing rooms were arranged around a central courtyard on the main floor, allowing for more intimate farewells.
