The church grounds are situated in open fields with only sparse surrounding development. In contrast to the neighboring Catholic church, the new Protestant church was intended to be an inward-facing structure rather than an open one. To accentuate it and enhance its independence on neutral ground, the church was built on a low hill created from the excavated earth of the building pit. The structure is positioned within sight of a road junction.
