Sea Wave Pool in Burg on Fehmarn
As with the other two spa buildings, the aim for the swimming pool was to achieve the most transparent design possible: all functions requiring an external enclosure, such as technical rooms, changing rooms, toilets, etc., were therefore located in the basement. All exterior walls above the platform were fully glazed. The only visual boundary to the outside is the large, gently sloping, south-facing suspended roof, articulated by disc-like concrete beams, which shields against excessive southern sunlight.
