Austrian Broadcasting Corporation Centre in Vienna
The ORF Centre Vienna, which houses the TV production studios as well as all central departments of programming, technology, and administration (formerly located in seven separate buildings scattered throughout the city), was built on the Küniglberg ridge adjacent to the Gloriette in Schönbrunn Palace Park. This site, which offers a panoramic view of the city, previously occupied by an old barracks already in use by the ORF. Further advantages of this location included the existing television facilities in the vicinity and its easy access from the highways.
