This entrepreneur's residence is situated on a corner plot in the heart of Grevenbroich, directly adjacent to the city park. The surrounding area is characterized by a suburban housing development of single-family homes. The design brief was based on the requirement to integrate a diverse range of spaces (also suitable for business meetings and social events) into a residential form that guarantees maximum privacy. The building's structure, shaped like a windmill wing, fulfills these requirements. The stairwell provides access to the wings: to the southeast, the sleeping wing with a sleeping corridor, bedroom, bathroom, and balcony; to the southwest, the two-storey living room; to the northwest, the service wing with kitchen, utility stairs, and garage; and to the northeast, the wing with guest rooms, which can later serve as a separate caretaker's apartment. This functional division continues into the basement. Externally, the wing shape of the building results in the garden being divided into courtyards of varying sizes and levels, each corresponding to a specific room function: a residential courtyard, a kitchen courtyard, and a swimming pool courtyard.
