Black Swan House – an office building with an open arcaded ground floor, five office floors, and three recessed penthouse floors – is located near the City of London, on the north bank of the Thames above Southwark Bridge (Kennet Wharf Lane). The building was erected on land owned by the Company of Vintners since 1446 and also includes the Vintnershall, a building erected in 1671 with a facade renewed in 1910, located immediately adjacent to the new building. The surrounding riverside buildings are predominantly office and administrative structures, some dating from the early 20th century, some from the 1950s, and some from more recent times.
