Conversion of an Old Farmhouse
A farmhouse in Herbede near Willen/Ruhr, constructed partly of timber framing and partly of fieldstone, was converted and expanded into a residence for the sculptor Hanspeter Lechner and connected to new studio buildings and outdoor facilities; the entire property covers 36 hectares. The house has a volume of approximately 1500 cubic metres and 200 square metres of living space on the ground floor and the upper floor (the former hayloft).
