The extension to the Plön District Savings Bank was built as part of the redevelopment of Plön's town centre. It offers 1,073 square metres of usable floor space and a total volume of 5,261 cubic metres. The building program includes office space for various departments of the savings bank on two floors, as well as a multi-purpose room for public relations on the ground floor. This room is also available to the city of Plön for events. The limited site conditions were the deciding factor in choosing the axial system: a reinforced concrete frame structure with a suspended aluminium facade (Götz-Metallbau).
