The row of three houses stands freely in the landscape, like the farmhouses characteristic of this region, on a gentle slope below Harzburg Castle in Aargau. The individual houses vary in size in terms of their footprint. However, their floor plans are designed so that the living units can be flexibly combined with one another, depending on needs and preferences. Currently, this row of houses is occupied by two families of architects and a single person. It also houses an architecture firm with a model workshop, two small studios, and a kindergarten.
