The fundamental architectural concept was to treat both school complexes as a unified whole, despite the dividing pedestrian thoroughfare, through a consistent construction principle. The building complex bridges the gap with a shared dining hall on the first floor, which also serves as a large, open connecting hall; the entrances are located along the pedestrian walkway. Another key principle was to organize the school group in such a way as to foster maximum community while allowing for the greatest possible individual development.
