Museum in Kurayoshishi/Japan
The museum is situated in park-like grounds at the foot of a hill range south of the city of Kurayoshishi. The complex consists of several elongated wings grouped around a central courtyard with a straight watercourse. The silhouettes of the buildings are primarily defined by the variety of contrasting shed roof forms (30° pitch), which delineate the individual spatial zones. The individual exhibition rooms are particularly characterized by their spacious, sloping roofs.
