Savings bank in Kamen
The site occupies a prominent location within the city; its position gives it a gateway function that is not fulfilled by the neighboring buildings. In an initial attempt at redevelopment, standards were to be set here for further urban planning. The 14 x 60 m site allowed for optimal design of the functional areas; however, it also encouraged the development of unique forms.
