Single-family Homes on Tiny Plots of Land in Tokyo
This structure is designed as a closed cube, incorporating five smaller room cubes. These either penetrate into it from its surrounding walls or extend outwards from them. Openings are located on the north and south sides (Japanese sliding windows). To emphasize the impression of enclosure, the main room cube is uniformly finished with 25 cm cypress panels and 25 cm cypress ceiling beams.
