Playhouse in a Residential Complex
The courtyard of an older residential complex in Munich was given a children's playground with a playhouse and sandpit. The structures were connected to the exits of the underground parking garage located beneath the courtyard; the garage ceiling and its damp-proof course remained untouched. The stairwell is covered. The wooden supports, each bolted to the concrete stair railing with two galvanized screws and braced in the middle by steel shoes, support a cantilevered structure that extends freely over the sandpit.
