The original development plan for the elongated plot envisioned three detached single-family houses (one-storey, with a 45-degree roof). Following negotiations with the building authority, and with a partial modification of the earlier stipulations, the project described here was implemented. The road construction authority rejected the proposed access from the east; therefore, it was provided from the west. This access route, along with the topography, determined the distribution and layout of the building masses according to the building program, which comprises four terraced houses with an attached residence and a tombstone studio.
