Catholic Church Centre in Rastatt
The 6,000 m² plot of land, sloping down approximately 5 metres, is located in the north of the city, in the Rötterberg district. The church centre was positioned to create ample open space both in front of the church and in front of the kindergarten below. This results in a spacious church square and a dedicated children's playground. The existing difference in elevation was utilized to accommodate the kindergarten beneath the main church building, with its own outdoor area and entrance. The extension housing the sacristy, weekday chapel, and the group rooms and hall below creates a harmonious transition to the adjacent school grounds.
