This house for an elderly couple was built outside the village on a gently sloping, elevated plot of land overlooking a wide valley. The client and architect aimed for the house to blend unobtrusively into the surrounding landscape, both in its farm setting and its materials. This is reflected in the single-storey structure (with 125 m² of usable floor space) and its timber frame construction. The large window front on the leeward side faces southeast. The closely spaced, planked terrace leads seamlessly into the surrounding landscape without any steps.
