Community Centre in Bergen/Chiemsee
The building site is located at a crossroads in a rather haphazardly developed new residential area of the tourist resort. However, an old linden tree with a massive crown lends it a distinctive character, which is echoed and emphasized by the building's form with its straight, continuous south facade, its steeply raked eaves, its shed roof rising to the north, and the contrasting roof structure of the bell tower. The spatial program is reflected in the staggered arrangement of the building.
