Small Settlements in Leutendorf
The concept of community work based on activating self-help was also reflected in the housing design. Thus, manageable residential groups of five or four units were planned, along with shared play areas, a garage with washing and repair facilities, and "public" green spaces in the courtyard. The ground floor plan allowed for several variations. The total living area per unit is 98.13 square metres. The building structure, height, and construction methods were designed for the most efficient, economical, and easily achievable constructions, allowing for self-help contributions under expert guidance. The basement was constructed using Hinse prefabricated blocks.
