The design of this building was based on the same fundamental principles as those established for the construction of the Mainaschaff community centre. The starting point was the following: The older church of the parish, built towards the end of the 19th century, stood on the site, located in the centre of the town at a busy intersection. It no longer met the demands of a vibrant parish life. In particular, it did not correspond to the parish's vision of a contemporary, multifaceted church presence in the public sphere. It was therefore decided to demolish this building and construct a new, multi-purpose community centre.
