Institute Building for Electrical Engineering at the Technical University in Delft/Netherlands

A high-rise building with 22 floors housing departments, laboratories, and practical training rooms. The rooms are arranged on both sides of a central corridor, allowing for flexible partitioning. Continuous 1.00 m wide balconies, enclosed by glazing, run along the two long sides of the building on all floors. The technical service lines for the laboratories are located in these exterior walkways, in front of the parapet of the inner facade. These lines are easily accessible and therefore simple to replace or add to. An antenna system for experimental purposes is located on the roof terrace, surrounded by a 2.00 m high parapet. The ground floor contains an entrance hall and access to the lecture halls in an extension. The basement and attic house technical rooms.
