Six residential units for senior employees of a company were planned on a site near the factory, forming a richly structured complex. They were designed to offer individual residents a wide range of options for personalized room layouts. A high water table precluded the usual form of single-family homes with basements. A design was developed that, while largely universally applicable, still allows for diverse uses and a degree of adaptability to specific needs. By staggering the height and depth of the house sections, the bedrooms could be placed on higher ground, and the buildings could be partially basemented, thus avoiding groundwater. Each house has approximately 800 square metres of land. The living area is 135 square metres per unit, and the total built area, including the garage, is 197 square metres.
