Since the future residents were unknown at the start of the planning process, five different house types were developed to accommodate various family sizes and needs. Each type offered four to eight different possible locations within the overall complex and varying allocations to communal facilities (including different basement and utility room sizes). This resulted in a wide range of choices. The 27 houses were grouped into four groups, each containing all five house types. Within each group, the houses have varying degrees of integration with the overall context; the house types located in the south have the loosest connection to the group.
