Concept: The forecourt and the hall are conceived as a unified whole, entirely based on the motif of the "path": the progression (and eventual end) of a path becomes the architectural theme. Paving outside, paving inside, exterior side wall, interior side walls, exterior wall reliefs, interior roof shells, exterior lamps, interior lamps: all the key structural elements embody the progression of a basic dimension of 4.50 metres along a single axis. This path into the building dips slightly into the ground in the area of the fully glazed entrance. It ends before the end wall with a recessed bas-relief inlaid with gold leaf (this is the only precious element in the otherwise rather robust design).
