Gatehouse of Siemens AG, Munich
The building, erected on level ground as a checkpoint between the external and internal areas of an industrial plant, serves to monitor both personnel and freight traffic. It contains a guard's lounge, a visitor waiting room, a restroom, a baggage room, a fire alarm room, and a battery room. The floor plan ensures optimal visibility for the guard of incoming and outgoing traffic. The individual functional areas are logically organized and separated from one another (see floor plan).
