Graphic Arts Institute in Mülheim an Der Ruhr
The building was designed to allow for a future 100% expansion. It has two stories and blends in with the surrounding existing and planned buildings. Its overall appearance will be completed with the addition of the 11th construction phase, resulting in an almost square shape. The three black-clad structures in front of the building house the stairwell and ventilation systems. Due to the proximity of the airport (approx. 300 m), the building height was limited to 128.5 m above sea level. This also applies to the two freestanding V4A stainless steel chimneys.
