The client approved the design for a terraced house conceived from an urban planning perspective under two conditions: 1. Construction costs could not exceed those of a standard apartment building. 2. The apartments had to be particularly attractive, as they were intended for sale as condominiums. Residential density, a primary prerequisite for urbanity, can only be achieved by offering attractive city apartments, since a desired density will only be accepted if it is pleasant and tolerable. The apartments must meet contemporary standards. Equipped with modern conveniences, they should offer ample outdoor space, such as balconies and loggias, and be as flexible as possible.
