Corpus Christi College, Cambridge

The Corpus Christi College residence hall in Cambridge is situated on approximately 8 hectares of park-like grounds with mature trees. The two new buildings form the first phase of a comprehensive expansion of the existing Edwardian college building. During the planning phase, it was essential to preserve as much of the existing trees as possible and to create a vibrant architectural connection between the original Leckhampton House and the new buildings. The two staggered, four- and five-storey residential buildings, positioned at right angles to Leckhampton House, are connected by a recessed administrative and service wing.
