The residential complex, comprising 16 terraced houses, has direct road access to the town centre, approximately 500 metres away. Another road connects it to the municipal school grounds (primary, secondary, and high school). The surrounding area is characterized by the architecturally appealing three-storey brick building of a boys' grammar school from the 1930s and two- to three-storey, relatively grey residential buildings. The new development on Weidkamp was intended to substantially enhance the neighbourhood through the articulation of the building masses, the use of colour, and the incorporation of greenery.
