House in Neumünster

The 1400 sq m building plot is located at the rear of a property, accessed via a cul-de-sac, on the northern edge of Neumünster. It borders agricultural land with birch and poplar trees. The timber frame structure is internally braced and rigidly connected to the roof diaphragm. Parallel to the sloping side walls and the ridge line, flat-laid corrugated girders were arranged within the roof as wind bracing. A corrugated asbestos cement roof covers these. All timber frame walls, as well as the self-supporting lattice girder of the gallery, were constructed using the Greimbau method.
