University of Würzburg Cafeteria
The University of Würzburg's cafeteria is part of the new central area of the university expansion on the eastern edge of the city. It comprises the cafeteria and the university library, with the two-tiered forum platform between them, which covers a parking garage and bus stop. The view from this hillside location across the city to the Marienberg Fortress opposite was incorporated into the design of the central buildings. The dining hall is accessed from the entrance hall, which is situated between the library and the cafeteria. A staircase leads from a concrete "bridge," inserted roughly in the centre of the hall, down to the lower level.
